ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Laundry Assistant’s role is to ensure laundry and linen services are of a high standard and quality for our residents. You must be competent with engaging in manual labour tasks and heavy lifting duties when required.
Responsibilities include:
- Collecting, washing, folding, ironing, labelling, and returning resident's personal clothing on a daily basis
- Maintaining a high standard of personal and operational hygiene at all times
- Identifying and reporting any equipment/operational failure issues
- Ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with infection control requirements

KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Working rights within Australia
- National Police Clearance less than 6 months old or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Influenza Statement and Covid 19 Vaccinations (highly desirable)
- Ability to move and lift heavy loads, conduct physical/hands-on work and repetitive movements of the body
- Demonstrated knowledge of fire and safety processes and manual handling guidelines
- Ability to operate in a team environment
