ABOUT THE ROLE:
Join our team and make a difference to our residents through fantastic food in a growing and secure sector.
Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assisting the Head Chef with the provision of internal and external catering functions and high-quality food service
Maintaining a well organised food production and distribution operation ensuring that the needs of the residents, customers, staff, and the organisation are met
Assisting in menu planning, standard recipe development and the dietary needs of the residents and customers
Efficiently and effectively utilise the human, financial and physical resources available in accordance with budgetary guidelines

Desired Skills and Experience
KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
Demonstrated experience cooking in a cafe or restaurant setting
Working rights within Australia
National Police Clearance less than 6 months old or NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Influenza Statement and Covid 19 Vaccinations (highly desirable)
Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
Knowledge of the Health Act 1911 (Food Standards), OHS regulations, Food Hygiene regulations, and Food Safety (HACCP) guidelines
Safe use of chemicals and knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all applicable chemicals
