Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our ENs are members of our passionate nursing team providing care to our valued residents.  We have permanent and casual opportunities across day, afternoon and night shifts. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the clinical care needs of residents and leading and supervising care staff under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Utilising best practice, continuous improvement, and customer focus principles
  • Encouraging and assisting residents to participate in social and functional activities

Desired Skills and Experience

KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Diploma in Nursing and at least 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Working rights within Australia
  • National Police Check
  • Current Influenza Statement and Covid 19 Vaccinations (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of The Aged Care Act 1997, Aged Care Standards for the Aged Care Accreditation process, The Ageing Process, Equal Opportunity Principles, and OHS legislation
  • Understanding of the Nursing Process – Assessment, Problem Identification, Care Planning, Evaluation, and Exit Role Planning 
  • Knowledge of ANMC National Competency Standards for ENs and the AHPRA Scope of Nursing Practice decision making framework
  • Efficient time management, organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
