Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Under the direction of the Team Leader and Care Centre Manager, the Lifestyle / Therapy Assistant's (Social Engagement) role is to provide a high standard of assistance that will enhance the resident’s way of life. You will assist residents to participate in social, cultural, spiritual and leisure activities to improve, maintain or minimise loss of function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning, organising and running individual and group therapy activities.
  • Completing required documentation regarding residents on a timely basis.
  • Be responsive and sensitive to residents and customer information, their needs, and requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
  • Previous experience in the delivery of personal care and the development and delivery of lifestyle programs in a residential care setting 
  • Working rights within Australia
  • National Police Clearance 
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Influenza Statement and Covid 19 Vaccinations (highly desirable)
