ABOUT THE ROLE:
Make a difference to our residents through the preparation of fabulous food!
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Head Chef with the provision of internal and external catering functions and high-quality food service.
- Maintaining a well organised food production and distribution operation ensuring that the needs of the residents, customers, staff, and the organisation are met.
- Assisting in menu planning, standard recipe development and the dietary needs of the residents and customers.
- Efficiently and effectively utilise the human, financial and physical resources available in accordance with budgetary guidelines.

KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Certificate III or IV in Commerical Cookery.
- Experience working in an aged care setting (highly desirable).
- Demonstrated experience cooking in a cafe or restaurant setting.
- Working rights within Australia.
- National Police Clearance.
- Covid 19 Vaccinations and Current Influenza Statement (highly desirable).
- Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Knowledge of the Health Act 1911 (Food Standards), WHS regulations, Food Hygiene regulations, and Food Safety (HACCP) guidelines.
- Safe use of chemicals and knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all applicable chemicals.
