Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Hospitality Services Manager, you will manage the overall operations of the Hospitality team, ensuring compliance with legislation, infection control policies, and our strategic objectives. Through your leadership, you will inspire and empower your team to deliver exceptional catering and laundry services, working collaboratively to enhance the quality of services across SwanCare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of food and laundry services across our residential care facilities, cafes, catering services, and the village meals program, ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards, and SwanCare’s policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Chefs, Dietitians, Care Services Managers and Older People to offer nutritious and diverse meals tailored to individual dietary needs, allergies, and preferences. 
  • Review, develop and implement hospitality service models, budgets and rosters to ensure optimal operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a respectful, positive and team-oriented environment that is unwavering when it comes to quality and customer service.
  • Contribute to shaping the strategic direction of the Hospitality Services team.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Older People’s experience.

Desired Skills and Experience

KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this role, you will be a strong, hands-on leader with a passion for people and service excellence.  You will also possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality or a related field; or demonstrated previous experience in a similar role.
  • Aged care or hospital experience is desirable but not essential - we will welcome applications from candidates with hotel or restaurant backgrounds.
  • Proven experience leading, managing and coaching large teams.
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example in the kitchen.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing business plans and budgets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety, IDDSI, HACCP standards and allergens.
  • Unwavering commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to liaise, consult and present information to diverse clients and stakeholders including the Board.
  • Working rights within Australia.
  • National Police Clearance.
