Job Description

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Finance and working alongside a team of like-minded people, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.  You will also assist with maintaining financial sustainability, driving operational efficiency and ensuring that all financial activities align with SwanCare's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Quarterly Financial Report (QFR), benchmarking reports and annual Aged Care Financial Report (ACFR).
  • Comprehensive oversight of the management and processes related to Refundable Accommodation Deposits (RADs), ensuring compliance with the applicable prudential standards.
  • Undertake comprehensive analysis to optimise financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • BAS completion and submission.
  • Completion of month end reconciliations and reporting.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Role Requirements:

  • CA / CPA qualified (or working toward this qualification).
  • Demonstrated previous experience as an Accountant.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP and accounting software (Epicor is preferred).
  • Ability to manage your time to achieve set outcomes.
  • Experience working in the aged care industry is desirable.
  • National Police Clearance
  • Permanent working rights in Australia
