About the Role:
We are looking for a details driven Business Analyst with strong data and financial expertise to support a high visibility project involving the review and analysis of historical financial information. You will dive into complex datasets, spot patterns and build models that will drive confident decision making! Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, this opportunity is available on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing large volumes of historical financial records to identify trends, anomalies, and key data relationships.
- Mapping, validating, and reconciling data from multiple sources.
- Designing and building a robust data model to support accurate calculations and scenario testing.
- Collaborating with Finance, IT, Payroll and HR stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Documenting processes, assumptions, and data logic in a clear, structured way.
- Providing insights and recommendations based on your analysis.

Key Role Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of financial processes.
- Understanding of payroll processes including exposure to Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, or similar tools.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable outputs.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
- Permanent working rights within Australia.
- National Police Clearance.
